Statewide Council Engagement Manager

Salary: $50,000 - $53,000

The Statewide Council Engagement Coordinator is responsible for providing support to existing local Child Abuse Prevention Councils around the state as well as for developing new Councils. This position will coordinate the development and support of local councils and volunteers and provides training across multiple areas related to child abuse & neglect for the councils and the community at large. The Statewide Council Engagement Coordinator is aware of the agency’s statewide goals and helps to implement the strategic plan agency wide.

This position requires travel throughout the state of Indiana.

  • Build strong and effective relationships with community councils across the state.
  • Explore and develop relationships across communities where councils do not yet exist and support the connection of stakeholders to assist in developing further council sites.
  • Creates and implements new methods to improve efficiency of operations
  • Build and maintain a network of contacts and supportive resources throughout Indiana related to prevention.
  • Organize, schedule and host council network webinars.
  • Participates in local and statewide committees, taskforces, and interest groups to maintain awareness of trends and needs in the arena of child abuse prevention.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, communications, public affairs, or related field from accredited college.
  • 4 years of relevant experience including:
    • Community engagement
    • Coalition or council coordination
    • Volunteer management
    • Child and family services
    • Prevention initiatives
    • Nonprofit program support
    • Training with group facilitation
